Since last time I wrote I have graduated with a BA in English & History, travelled to Salamanca for the bicentenary re-enactment and am now on "holiday" in Norway at my parents' house.

My main reason for posting is that I've just finished a Teresa Moreno fanvid. I confess I fangirl her obsessively (equalling the degree to which my fourteen year old self once fangirled Eowyn) and to the extent that if I knew Assumpta Serna's address I'd hide in the bushes outside her house, to serenade her softly dressed as a partisan. (Just. Look. At. Her.) Rather than putting on my feminist glasses to analyse the Comandante, I prefer to just simply lean back and appreciate how bad ass she is.

I have no idea how I even found this entry today, and you may not even read a comment on a months-old post, but still. I do absolutely have to tell you that this vid has made my day, probably even my entire weekend. I have recently become all nostalgic for all my old Age of Sail / costume drama fandoms, and Sharpe/Teresa has always been one of my Napoleonic OTPs. So this has been a complete delight to watch -- I do love her as both a character in her own right and a love interest, since she had so much (unused) potential, and Assumpta Serna really was very charming in the role and had great chemistry with Sean Bean. I was flailing like mad to see a vid about her (there aren't so many fanworks with Teresa, for some reason), and then the fanvid is even set to one of my favourite bands ever. \0/

Sorry, I'll stop gushing now, but thanks for some much-needed fannish cheer! :)))
